  Love my NDLR! But chord buttons II and VI not working when un-shifted

I use this powerful little arpeggio magic box every day!  But just today I noticed that chord buttons II and VI no longer change the chord.

They do work when I shift-click them, so this feels like a software issue.

I'll be honest and say everything felt peachy until the recent update. Since then I have had notes sticking, heard clicking in some of the loops, and now this button issue. Before the recent firmware update I NEVER had a stuck note and never needed to use the panic button. Now I use it regularly.

  Midi notes generate click sounds in synth

Hi i'm enjoying the NDLR a lot.

Here are some findings.

1. I'm getting a click sound for 30% when a midinote arrives in my Microvolt 3900.
If i set my ADSR in the Microvolt 3900 with a slow attack i still hear a click coming in. This only happens with the NDLR at the moment. Other devices don't create this click such as the arturia keystep.

You can hear it in the beginning of this track. You hear that the microvolt is not really clean.

2. Other thing is. The sequencer plays low notes on some numbers. So if i make steps 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14. Then the 9 and 11 create a lower note than numbers 1 2 4 5 6. Its like it jumps an octave.

3. It would be nice if the LFO's that im sending that go to midi inputs of other devices start doing their LFO-ing when i start playing all or a motive, pad or drone. 


Maybe one of these things were allready found.
Maybe one of these things allready have a solution.

  Syncing motifs / muting and unmuting via external MIDI

In my first week of playing with the NDLR, I didn’t realized that the motifs are paused and started, not muted and unmuted. While this is interesting, I’m trying to figuring out the best way to “mute” and “unmute” my four parts while keeping everything in synch if desired when sequencing the NDLR from an external piece of gear - my Cirklon in this case. 

I could map out each of the four parts via CC’s and pause/unpause them, or I could map a CC for the global start/stop which puts everything in sync. Are those my only options? Is there a better way or workaround? Is there any way to “mute” parts and keep the motifs in sync? [I have thought about using CC’s to control the master volume of the 4 synths I have the NDLR connected to]

  Pattern / rhythm synchronicity

I created a user pattern with 12 steps. Corresponding a user rhythm with 14 steps, (2 steps muted) = 12 steps also. When I now start playing motif1, the pattern starts with step 1, the rhythm with step 4. Shouldn`t they start both on step 1 when I press the play all button?

Made this over Thanksgiving, while cooking the festive family meal  The pad was the Streichfett, drone was Blofeld, Motif 1 also went through Blofeld, and Motif 2 was a Mopho.  The key is Dm harmonic.  My goal was to make something that was constantly evolving and didn't need a whole lot of direct hands-on attention.

Sure it's long (17:33), but considering the turkey stock simmered for almost 18 hours, it could have been longer.

  No Note Output on USB (WIN)

Hi,

I received my new NDLR today and tried to connect to a PC with Reaper and VSTs.

I cannot get it to work at all.

I changed the Midi Output to USB 1 - no notes send.

I also setup MIDI-OX to receive on NDLR Midi in - and it receives the Start and Stop messages .. however it does not receive any note events at all.

If I remove all Filters in MIDI-OX I can see the clock and the start/stop messages:

  Start/stop don't pass MIDI-Through

Hi Community,

I just purchased a NDLR a few days ago.


My problem is that the master clock start/stop messages from my other sequencer (Toraiz Squid) doesn't go though the NDLR.

The Synths that I trigger with the NDLR don't get the SSC any more. I tried all menu-settings for the clock-out-port, without success.

MIDI-notes are passed through correctly, only SSC messages aren't.

My Squid is connected to MIDI B Input, my synths are connected to MIDI B Output.

The Squid is not using the same channel as the NDLR Cntl channel. (I don't use/need the Cntl channel at all.)

(I haven't tried yet to use the same channel as KB Trans.  - because I don't want the KB to transpose...

As the masterclock comes from my Squid, the NDLR is set to external clock. There IS a clock coming in, the NDLR shows that with the blinking letters on the display.)
