  Send lfo data only
Posted by: JCFAX81 - 08-16-2020, 02:22 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hello

Is it possible to send lfo data only from the ndlr? Let me try and explain...

What I want to do is record some ndlr parts into my elektron sequencer, so I can manipulate these using conditional triggers and the like. But I would also like to use the mod matrix on the ndlr to send lfo information to various CC parameters on the model:cycles.

So, I don’t want the ndlr to send note information in this case (as the model:cycles will already have that recorded). I don’t actually own a model:cycles yet, so can’t just experiment with the settings at the moment.

Thanks
John

  LFO phase - pads
Posted by: sublimb - 08-14-2020, 07:29 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (11)

Hey, I'm new to the NDLR, but have spent quite a few hours with it already. But try as I might, I can't seem to figure out how to get the LFO to start in phase with the overall chord sequence. It just seems to freely run on its own, so I can't get a reliable result each time I reset the sequence.

Is this normal behavior? I  couldn't find any reference to this in the manual.

I thought maybe the 'Pad Qnt' needed to be set. I have an issue with 'Pad Qnt' because when I have it enabled, my pads late/out of sync with the rest. Turning off 'Pad Qnt' fixes that issue...

Any thought of including MIDI looper functionality to the NDLR?

  NDLR with Subharmonicon?
Posted by: freedream27 - 08-12-2020, 04:49 PM - Forum: Synths and Gear News, Discussion - Replies (2)

I’m trying to imaging how these two play together.  I have Mother 64, hydrasynth, and microfreak.  Wondering how the SubH would respond to NDLR.

Thanks!

Roland JDxi, ASM Hydrasynth with my own patches.
And, of course, the NDLR!

  NDLR with Morningstar MC6

Is it possible to control the NDLR chord changes by using the Morningstar MC6 midi foot controller?

I was thinking, can set overall song key, then whilst playing guitar, can use foot controller to change between 6 different chords on synths connected to NDLR.

  The NDLR & Novation Circuit
Posted by: JCFAX81 - 08-11-2020, 06:38 AM - Forum: Show me what you got! - No Replies

Hello,

For this one I hooked up the ndlr with my circuit. Fairly happy with this one, like the manual mentions, you don’t have to use all parts for a jam!

Hoping to do some beats hip-hop stuff next time around. For now though, enjoy:

Hi

My unit started to loose the center information and goes black.
If I touch any button or rotate any encoder, the center is showed and the next second it goes black again.

  Monastic Garden
Posted by: secretstairsrecords - 08-08-2020, 04:28 PM - Forum: Show me what you got! - Replies (7)

One day, a monk was cultivating some medicinal herbs for himself and his brothers of the order in the monastic garden.
The monk had discovered something glorious in these herbs, and shared it with his brethren that evening, to which they all achieved a sense of transcendence.
The next morning, his brothers awoke to find their fellow monk to have gone missing. They searched the monastery high and low; until they proceeded outside to the garden to see if the monk was preparing another batch of herbs for a return journey in splendor.
When the his brothers arrived at the garden’s gate entrance, they saw not their monk, who had voluntarily chosen to live his life out in contemplation, having hitherto left behind the pleasures of society. But, in his place, a small stone statue in the what could only be described as its perfect form of what he unearthed that day.
