Posted by: MrBlaschke - 07-16-2020, 11:30 AM - Forum: Show me what you got! - Replies (8)

I had a bad retro flashback today and after playing some games on my old Commodore 64 i packed the #NDLR, the Model:Cycles and my DAW of choice (AUM on iPad) and jammed away. Man i got so damn blasted by the SID today...

Let me know what you think!
Thanks in advance and kind regards.

  Any Max4live gurus out there?

I don't have the chops, but if someone out there does, a m4l NDLR controller device would be amazing.

If you make it, pleeeeease let me know. I'll be happy to beta test it.

  correct behaviour?
Posted by: racecube - 07-15-2020, 04:04 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

when I am in Motif Edit the NDLR Cntl Channel (default 15) behaves like a Note Input step by step, when I leave the edit then I can change the Chords from I to VII (as specified in KB Cntl)

Is this the right behaviour?

  My first #NDLR Session recorded
Posted by: MrBlaschke - 07-14-2020, 09:31 AM - Forum: Show me what you got! - No Replies

Hi all.

I had my first jam with my #NDLR today - and recorded it.
Still new, still fresh, still a lot to discover and learn but it already is a joy to use.
I am "Mobile/iPad only" when it comes to music making and i am very satisfied.
I think the next days I'll grab my batterypack, iPad and NDLR and go outside ... Deep in the forests.

Video in the Tube:

I recognized myself that here and there are some insecurities in dialing the values in but it gets better every day.
I am really enjoying my newest gadget.

Feedback, Likes, Subscribes and all that fancy stuff is welcome.
I hope you enjoy what i did.
Stay safe and kind regards!

  Delayed drone
Posted by: ndlr-0261 - 07-12-2020, 11:51 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (3)

NDLR arrived last week and I've been having a ball with it, well worth the wait, and exploring it like no tomorrow. Running mainly into VSTs through MainStage3 although some old gear is being brought back into service (after fitting/soldering new batteries!). About to explore control messages ...

Help! The pad is running on the downbeat as expected, motifs too, but the drone is delayed by a beat or so. Expecting it to also trigger on the downbeat. I don't think it started like this so is going to be down to my travels around the device whist exploring what it can do.

Any clues where to look? Factory reset could be an option (how?)

Exclamation New(er) NDLR rotary buttons make it hard/impossible to dial in CCs
Posted by: MrBlaschke - 07-12-2020, 11:51 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (7)

Hi there.
I got my NDLR the last days and am quite up to date with the usage - i heavily dived into it the last days.
Now i found a problem that is somewhat annoying.

During my reading in this forum i realized that there were different rotary controllers on the first NDLRs that went out.
I have one with the rasterized steps.

If you enter the „MIDI CNTLR“ (Button 4 In Shift + Menu mode) on pretty much any screen i can only set the values in steps of 2 - which might be unproblematic when setting volume or panning but gets difficult when setting CC values!

In the „MIDI CNTLR“ Menu rotate Button 1 to screen 4 (Pad) and try to set the bottom CC values vor CC1 and/or CC2.
Here i also get only steps of 2. From 61 -> 63 -> 65, etc...
The values in between are on the „height“ of the button rasterization (hard to name it, no native English speaker here).
If i want to set it to eg. 62 i have to half-turn the knob and hope it stays that way until i leave the screen/setting.

Hard to describe, easy to reproduce, very hard to work around or live with it if one wants to use these features.
Recommendations Jesse, Darryl?

I hope you can alter the steps finer in the code so that the new rotary controls are also able to fully customize the NDLR  Confused
I would hate to exclude these features from my workflow.

Kind regards.

Pressing the pad encoders does not bring up the pad sub screen
Posted by: JoseC - 07-12-2020, 10:20 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (15)

Hello all,

Here is the issue I am experiencing:

The expected behavior when I click on an encoder, is that the sub screen that corresponds to that encoder should pop up. This is what happens with the motif, drone and tempo/key/mode sub screens. I click in any of the encoders for the motif sub screen and the motif sub screen comes up. Same with the drone sub screen (click on the encoder and the sub screen pops up) and same with the tempo/key/mode. However, if I click on any of the pad encoders the pad sub screen does NOT come up. The sub screen stays in the previous sub screen. Only when I turn the pad encoder that I clicked, then the screen changes to the pad screen at the same time that the parameter value changes.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

PS: If it would be helpful I can try to post a video

My unit has FW 1.1.066

Cheers

J

  Controlling motif position
Posted by: Synthfox - 07-08-2020, 11:29 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - No Replies

Like with many new equipment coming to an issue its the question: bug or feature?  Undecided
I`m controlling the NDLR via MIO10 with a Korg nanoKontrol. Most features work without any issues. The nanoControl can be programmed to put out CC-messages in a specific range, for motif position it is read in the manual motif1 CC35, motif2 CC43, range 1-10. Now I noticed, when I turn both knobs full right, motiv2 position moves all the way up, motif1 positions but only half way. Controlling with NDLRs build in knobs, both values behave like expected in full range. May be there is an other setting, that influences this control?

Hi,
I'm curious about my order as I made the initial transaction on the 20th of April for which I received confirmation on the 24th via email so I'm fairly certain that I'm in batch 3a although I have as yet not had any information with regard to tracking etc, I would be grateful if you could provide me with some insight.

kind regards
