  Destination Value for CC Modulation
Posted by: Mescalina - 09-11-2020, 03:45 PM - Forum: Feature Requests - No Replies

Hi,

I've noticed that when you set the mod destination to a MIDI CC the dest value is replaced by the MIDI channel.
You should find a way to keep the destination value also for CC mods cause they are quite useless without it.
An option could be to use the SHIFT together with the knob to set the Channel instead of replacing the dest value.

Thank you,
bless,
Claudio

Resetting to factory default before Or after
Posted by: ys521wow - 09-09-2020, 06:04 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hi, I’m going to update new firmware from my old v1.1.064.
Wondering to do resetting the NDLR before the update or after?

  Global Save Small Bug
Posted by: Mescalina - 09-07-2020, 02:33 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hi,

I'm using fw 1.1.070 and I found a little interface bug when using the Global Save function.
If you click shift with the top-right knob in order to save the selected global settings and you press the menu button in order to exit the settings while the Green Saved box is still present on the display then in the main page the contral box with the pad or motif info is disappearing when the green box sends the hide command.
I attach a video to show the behaviour.

Bye,

  Having a little thing
Posted by: Daquees - 09-07-2020, 12:03 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (3)

Hi there,

I recently purchased an NDLR. It was working perfectly until a couple days ago. I change my midi flow that day.

I had my soundcard midi signal going to the NDLR and to a Beatstep pro then from them two to other hardware.

Now my set up is midi clock from sound card to BeatStep pro then to various instruments including the NDLR.

My issues is that the NDLR doesn't play any patters ever since. At first when I first got it it would play patterns instantly but now it doesn't..
I'm wondering if I need to do something I don't know ..

  rests for pads? call-and-response melodies?
Posted by: Sanjuro77 - 09-07-2020, 09:39 AM - Forum: Advanced Features - Replies (6)

Hi there,
Been getting to grips (and loving!) my NDLR and am curious to see if anyone has a solution for adding rests in the pads part when using the chord sequencer?
I started off my NDLR experience mainly doing generative style stuff but recently been getting into a more structured approach using the chord sequencer.  So at the moment the only way I can see of having say the pad part play a chord for 4 beats, then another chord for say 8 beats and then have a rest for 4 beats before repeating, is to use the pad on/off CC (or via the mod matrix).  Is that the best approach?  Bear in mind I don't want to 'mute' the other parts. Ideally adjustable gate lengths would prob work better but as I understand it that's not possible.
I'm trying to find a decent way for call and response style melodies too (say motif1 plays for 1 bar, then motif2 plays for 1bar).  Again, the mute parts are the only way of doing this I think?  Perhaps editing the patterns manually could work but then you lose the ability to vary the patterns or variants etc without messing up the interplay between the two motifs.
Anyone else got a better method?
Thanks

  Slides and Accents
Posted by: shagghie - 09-06-2020, 08:48 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (12)

For Accents, assume just use value of 127 for velocity, but for SLIDES, am I missing something or does there need to be a way to overlap note lengths such that midi will send slide information to my synths?  In particular, looking to get an acid vibe going and can't do so without slides/accents being in their happy place.

Hello

Feel like I’m spamming this thread, but I’m just having so much fun with the ndlr. It’s so inspiring, I don’t think I’ve ever been as productive!

  Chord Sequencer Issue
Posted by: Mescalina - 09-05-2020, 10:01 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (13)

Hi,

i have fw 1.1.066

when I run the chord sequencer for example on the pad it randomly start with an unexpected stroke of the first chord (sometimes every 2,3,4,5 tries) then it waits a moment (not always the same amount of time) and then it starts to send the correct sequence.
If the chord sequencer is newly opened there is no red box showing the song part that is playing and during this unexpected first chord the red box doesn't show up appearing later when the correct sequence starts.
Where could this first random chord come from?

thank you, bless

Maybe a interesting theory? https://sonicstate.com/news/2020/09/04/t...n-funding/

I don't know if something like this would be for me to realise ideas.

I would rather see a next gen. NDLR with a integrated UI of this Chromawheel concept https://www.synthtopia.com/content/2019/...ic-theory/

pad strum - CC but not mod destination?
Posted by: Rob'tG - 09-02-2020, 05:48 PM - Forum: Advanced Features - No Replies

The destinations for the modulation matrix doesn't include the pad strum, though strum can be changed with MIDI CC.

Is this something which could be added?
