Hi,
I'm curious about my order as I made the initial transaction on the 20th of April for which I received confirmation on the 24th via email so I'm fairly certain that I'm in batch 3a although I have as yet not had any information with regard to tracking etc, I would be grateful if you could provide me with some insight.

kind regards

  Setting note duration...?
Posted by: six_wax - 07-07-2020, 01:45 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Is there a way to set note duration for the NDLR parts?

Or is it presumed that this will be taken care of in the synth voice?

  Note XOR setting?
Posted by: six_wax - 07-07-2020, 01:29 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Just arrived! Woo hoo! Finding my way around this curious creature...

Question for you pros!

Is there an exclusive setting for part notes? (i.e. *don't* play parts from e.g. Motif1 + Motif2 at once)

  NDLR and Ableton
Posted by: PhilF - 07-06-2020, 12:25 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (9)

Hi there and a big hello to you all

I'm a couple of days away from receiving my NDLR and, having read the manual but being a bit of a noob at these sorts of things, I've got a few questions regarding connectivity.

I'm an Ableton user and my set up is basically split between MIDI and USB connections. So, half of my synths go to my MIDI interface which is then connected by USB to my Mac. And the other half go to a USB hub which is then connected by USB to my Mac.

Where does NDLR fit in with this set up?

Thank you!

Inconsistent Encoder behavior still an issue
Posted by: JoseC - 07-05-2020, 02:07 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (14)

Hello all,

Just received my new NDLR on July 3rd. I just want to report that the inconsistent Encoder value-per-click issue reported in several earlier posts is still happening.

Problem description: rotating an encoder should produce a change in value per click. Actual behavior is inconsistent, requiring one, two or three clicks before the value changes. This depending on encoder and parameter. The issue is present on all encoders. The behavior is always the same for a given parameter. Example, in my unit:
Motif 1 - Pattern variation selection:
- from forward to backward: three clicks
- from backward to ping-pong: two clicks
- from ping-pong to ping-pong 2: three clicks
- from ping-pong 2 to odd/even: 2 clicks
- from odd/even to random: 3 clicks
Additional observation, after going from one setting to the next and then you toggle the encoder back and then forth between the two settings, the encoder responds correctly with one click. Example, from initial forward to backward you need three clicks, but then you can toggle from forward to backward and vice versa with one click.

Running FW 1.1.066

Other than this nagging issue, so far having a lot of fun with this little unit! Smile

Cheers

J

  Tempo/Key/Mode knob not working
Posted by: stayanchi - 07-05-2020, 12:16 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hi, I just received the NDLR yesterday as part of the 3A batch and I have noticed I can change all of the parameters except the mode and key.  Is there some other action other than pressing the encoder to access this menu?  Or is it possible there is something wrong with the knob itself.  I can change the tempo but not the key or mode even if I press it.

Motif 1 Loses Sync - Clock Divider Set By CC
Posted by: Scotty_123 - 07-03-2020, 09:55 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

This issue only appears when you are setting the clock divider for Motif 1 using external CC control - Motif 2 works as expected and reliably

On Motif 1 when you change the clock divider with the hardware knobs on the NDLR the divider maintains sync as you would expect.. it shifts seamlessly between  all six clock divisions and the timing is locked to a grid. Perfect.

On Motif 1 when you change the clock divider with CC control Motif 1  loses  sync to the timing grid. You may have  to do it several times alternating between the settings via CC before it becomes obvious.  It is much easier to notice it when you have a drum pattern playing...  This issue does not impact Motif 2... motif 2 always keeps a lock to the grid no matter how many times you change the clock divisor using CCs.

If you can't replicate this I will post a video on Monday.

Motif 1 Velocity Set to Zero on Midi Stop Command - See Short Video
Posted by: Scotty_123 - 07-03-2020, 08:16 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (10)

Hello team... this is issue is long standing and appears in all the firmware iterations that I have tested including 1.1.066.   In short... NDLR received a Midi Stop command and the Motif Velocity is set to Zero ... Motif 2 Velocity remains as previously set.   This means that you can't hear Motif 1 unless you increase the velocity.. Motif 2 works as expected.   Please see the short clip below.
