Multiple MRCCs -> USB Hub -> Computer?
Posted by: oldgearguy - 01-02-2022, 04:53 AM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - Replies (5)

Before I go ordering a powered USB hub, what happens with two MRCCs plugged into a hub?  Does that work or does each MRCC need to be on a dedicated port on the computer?

I have 4 things plus keyboard and mouse that all want USB connectivity to the computer and am trying to figure out the best way to do that.

So this is done using all 4 parts of the NDLR playing sounds from the k2000rs
With the Kawai mp7 providing the hauting overtone. Played live with no daw and no edits.

Fourth Noodle. This one is pretty simple actually

After going nuts with operator mods and things changing, I am liking the more simple use of the ndlr. only 1 motif. a drone.

Allow the NDLR to map a MIDI-A to everything to A-OUT and B-OUT
Posted by: noodleeater - 12-23-2021, 04:47 PM - Forum: Feature Requests - No Replies

apparently the design doesn't seem to think this would ever be wanted.

In my setup I have ONE keyboard controller and go to what I want using channels. The NDLR is connected A to one synth, and B to the other. But how do i then get the keyboard which goes A-IN midi to work with the B synth? can't do it it seems. So I am moving this from SUPPORT to FET REQ.

So either I have to mult it using physical cables to double the input into A and B which probably has other bad effects... and I think it's double confusing since in the system setups there is a OUT:Midi A and B

so its confusing. Would be simpler if there was a menu choice to do this.

from keyboard (midi in A on ndlr) to midi synths on A and B out

can't seem a way to have my controller go in on one input midi (a) and broadcast out on both A and B out. tried everything seems to be hard set. any way to do it? need to get a midi splitter and do it manually with cable if not which seems silly.

  CME WIDI

I found this Synthtopia post where Conductive Labs replied:

I am wondering how MRCC will integrate with CME WIDI and if multiple CME WIDI Masters are needed to do connections into the MRCC router (WIDI Masters on the synth midi ports and WIDI Masters on the MRCC Router)?

Question How to split a CC's on channel 1
Posted by: ajarink - 12-22-2021, 04:02 AM - Forum: MRCC Advanced Configuration - No Replies

I am wondering how to solve this challenge:
I have a Roland FC300 midi foot controller connected to Port 1, on Midi channel 1. The board should be able to steer several synths and midi-gear, connected to Out Ports 1,2,3 and 4.
Also, I need to transform Control Changes (CC's) to other CC's that the FC300 is not able to generate.
The Roland FC300 is not able to change the midi channel it is sending the CC's on.

Specific Control Changes should be routed to ports 1, 2, 3 and 4 based on their CC-number, so for example:

  1. Port 1, Midi Channel 1, CC-number 85 should be transformed to CC-number 110 and sent to Out Port 1 (Midi Channel 1)
  2. Port 1, Midi Channel 1, CC-number 7, should be sent only to Out Port 3 (Midi Channel 3)
  3. Port 1, Midi Channel 1, CC-number 3, should be sent only to Out Port 4 (Midi Channel 4)

As for 1, the solution is obviously one of the 6 Modifiers, in combination with the C-P1 function on Routing 1->1
I have multiple of these routings necessary, so now the count is already on 6, and I have run out of options.

For the examples 2 and 3 there seems to be no solution on the MRCC to split the CC's to Out Ports, based on their number, instead of on their midi channel.
Do any of you have a bright idea how to solve this?

Aanalog Clock-Out with external MIDI Clock
Posted by: starfish - 12-21-2021, 03:48 PM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - No Replies

It would be great if the analog Clock-Out port could be used with an external MIDI Clock – and not only with the internal Clock. All it would need would be a selector for the input port and a PPQ parameter. I think it was mentioned on the Conductive Labs YouTube channel that this is in the works?

Prophet 10 rev4 USB MIDI not working
Posted by: starfish - 12-21-2021, 10:38 AM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - No Replies

Hi forum,

I'm new here, received my MRCC yesterday and so far I'm very happy with the build quality and the user interface.

MIDI routing and PC connection work flawlessly. I have some problems with USB MIDI though:

– My Prophet 10 rev4 does not work at all via USB MIDI although in the list of compatible MRCC devices it's listed as "working". The green LED is lit, so it SHOULD work, but it does not receive nor transmit any MIDI data via USB MIDI (MIDI 5 pin routing works flawlessly).

– A Keystep 37 connected via USB is working, but only on USB MIDI virtual port input 1. As soon as I select port 2, 3 or 4 and connect a destination, it does not work.

I assume the latter is a user error (?), but the Prophet not working via USB while being listed as "compatible" is weird. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot?

AKA Force not receiving MIDI via MRCC USB host port
Posted by: lemel - 12-20-2021, 06:03 PM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (1)

When connecting AKAI force to a USB port on MRCC, the Force does not receive MIDI from either a MIDI IN or from another USB on the MRCC (tried using Keystep, Korg Microstation, NDLR, and Isla KordBot as controllers).

Switching the AKAI Force to a 1/8 MIDI A out on the MRCC results in the Force receiving MIDI from all devices fine, as expected.

Note: When connecting via MRCC, USB controllers do not appear in the list of device choices on the Force MIDI USB configuration settings page. Alternately, when a USB controller is connected directly to the Force, it *does* show up in the menu as an input choice.
