  Program change not working
Posted by: flashlight - 12-22-2022, 08:53 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (3)

Hi there. I am trying to send program changes from a Digitakt to a Peak. When connected through the MRCC, transport and note info works, but program changes do not. There are no filters applied to the routing (or anything else). When plugged in directly to each other program changes work. Any trouble shooting tips?

MRCC freezing when trying to save
Posted by: scratch - 12-18-2022, 11:23 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hi all,

I posted a support ticket a week ago but not had a response back.
I’m on the latest firmware.
If I switch the MRCC on with an sd card in it starts up and works ok (although obviously I can’t save any presets labels) and it knows there isn’t an SD card present.
If I insert a SD card ~9 times out of 10 the MRCC boots up to a black screen and midi out buttons 1-11 lit.
The times it does boot if I go to save a preset or create a label and try to save the MRCC just freezes and I have to restart the MRCC.
I’ve tried resetting holding downgreen button on start up and bought a new SD card but still the same issues - any ideas?

So, very excitedly received my MRCC and I can't for the life of me figure it out! Argh!

What I would like to do:

In The Box
Use mutliple USB controllers for DAW VSTs via the MRCC
Have semi-permanent routing from DAW to Hardware synths

Out of the box
Use Hardware sequencers with hardware synths via the MRCC

Macbook Pro M1 Cubase Pro + Ableton Live

I would willingly pay someone to help me get this running as this box is the answer to my prayers but I am too stoopid to work this out for myself.

If anyone is willing to help train and idiot please message me, I can't even save my ********* presets!!

Best festive wishes to you all!

AJ

  Normal preset numbering?
Posted by: Stratblue - 12-14-2022, 07:40 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (1)

How about getting rid of the 3 user and letter banks system? Is there an advantagee to this I'm not seeing? When I use prog change to select the save location I want, the number on the screen is corrupted so I have no idea whether I have chosen the right one or not. I've had to make a spread sheet just to keep track. Wouldn't it just be simpler if the memory locations went 1 and up with the factory one in location 0?

Thx.

  Extra Noise via midi power
Posted by: JamsLoud - 12-12-2022, 07:38 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hello,

I have noticed that when I power devices with the USB ports on the face of the MRCC it add's a lot of extra noise to my audio signal coming from the synths.

Some of my synths can take power and midi with the USB port which is great for my configuration, but when doing this via the MRCC...NOISE.

Anyone else having this same issue?

Attached is a picture of the audio from a synth powered via normal power, then the MRCC adding lot's of noise to the signal.

THANKS,

JAMS

Posted by: pREFECT - 12-09-2022, 01:05 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

is this possible? what i need to do is send a clock and a start message out of an output, but after i do that i need to be able to filter out the start stop continue messages so that resets on my end do not send elsewhere and restart other band mates gear but i do them to continue getting the clock. can this unit do this?

  SUPERB - version 2 please
Posted by: Hudndlr - 12-09-2022, 11:40 AM - Forum: Advanced Features - Replies (1)

Honest to god I would pay big money to see a NDLR version 2. It’s just so fantastic!

I have it hooked up to a Squarp Pyramid and a Stochastic Instruments SIG module. So I have 3 instruments in effect from strict compositional to pseudo-random generative, working together

Version2- same size as a 19 “ rack, very large LCD screen, 8 motifs, 8 drones, 8 pads, 100 pre-set patterns per motif, 100 user locations, 24 knobs for real time control of key parameters, so no need for shift button etc

Version 3 - same as above in a keyboard with midi and  8 CV / EG out

Cmon guys, ring up Uli Behringer and ask for some seed capital for version 2   Big Grin

Cheers

  PC-to-PC routing
Posted by: fredeke - 12-08-2022, 06:58 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (3)

Hello again.

Here's the thing: Windows is frustratingly limited in its MIDI implementation. Several times, I've found myself in a situation where I needed to install a software virtual MIDI interface, just to route the signal through some software operators. And those virtual thingies are all clunky and a pain to use.

I hoped I could use the MRCC instead: get the MIDI signal from the PC, filter/modify it, and send it back through (an)other virtual port(s). But apparently I can't. You can't route one of the 12 virtual PC ports to another.

I don't understand the reason for this limitation. I find it disappointing, and am considering returning my MRCC because it was an important part in my motivation to get one.

I know there are workarounds, like connecting a physical MIDI cable from one DIN socket to another, but then I don't need the MRCC for that.

Peace.

as many virtual outputs on usb hosts as inputs
Posted by: fredeke - 12-08-2022, 06:51 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (1)

Hello all.

I just got my new MRCC today, and I'm returning it right away, because of the 3 things I needed it for, it only does one: merger/splitter. When the other two are supported, I'll probably purchase one again.

Since there are two features I'd like to discuss, I'll discuss one here, and the other in another thread.

Here we go: USB host connections have 4 virtual input cables, which is great, but only one output cable. That is a pity, because I'd like to connect the 4x4 MIDI interfaces I already own as expanders - not only for the distance, but also to increase the amount of 5-pin DINs. I have a big studio, and I need a lot. And I'd rather not buy a second MRCC. I know Conductive Labs provides their own expanders, but their choice is too limited: I'd have to choose between more inputs or more outputs, and I'd like both. Plus, you cannot connect 4 expanders. Plus, I already have MIDI interfaces that could/should do it.

It's too bad. The unit seems very well built and thought out. The interface is amazing. Maybe future versions will meet my needs. We'll see.
