Osmose – 2 virtual USB MIDI I/O ports
Posted by: starfish - 06-09-2023, 03:04 PM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (3)

I got an Osmose, and it provides two virtual MIDI In/Out ports via USB. Virtual IN port 2 is always connected to Osmoses internal sound engine, so if I want to send recorded MIDI to the Osmose sound engine or play it via an external MPE controller I need to send data to virtual port 2.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be possible via MRCC because MRCC’s USB HOST ports (A, B, C & D) each support four inbound “virtual cables”, but only one outbound.

Could multiple virtual OUT ports be added via a firmware update or are there other reasons for this limitation?

How to Control both PC and Hardware via USB at the same time.
Posted by: moneyman - 06-01-2023, 11:55 AM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (7)

Hi I have this set up that I want to control . Can I do it? I know how to do 1. But how would I do step 2?
Or is there anotherway to do it?

1) Keyboard (keystepro) connected to ableton playing midi notes. (yes)
2) Keyboard  (keystepro) controlling another mdi hardware via MRCC through the USB link ?
To send it midi data. and one clock control from keysteppro for both hardware.

tks!
M

  MMRC CC mapping
Posted by: MickG - 05-29-2023, 09:02 AM - Forum: MRCC Advanced Configuration - Replies (1)

Hi,

I need to remap incoming CC messages to various different output CC messages.

Upon reading the manual, it would seem that we're limited to 6 possible CC re-maps.

I need more than 6 re-maps in order to control my drum machine's parameters from an external MIDI controller, using at least 16 controllers, i.e. faders, knobs, etc.).

Is there a way I can do this using the MRCC?

Thanks, Mick

Question MIDI Control of Pad Strum & Range not working?
Posted by: Clint Goss - 05-24-2023, 06:06 AM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (6)

I've controlling Pad Position, Strum, Range, and Spread with 4 external encoders over MIDI.

Pad Position and Spread work AOK (CC 28 & 31). Strum and Range (CC 29 & 30) seem to do nothing over MIDI, although they work AOK from the encoders on the NDLR.

Maybe this is a know issue? A bug? Or something I screwed up at my end, for which I will surely be flogging myself (with a wet noodle?)

Sync MRCC Clock to Incoming Clock
Posted by: Dark Waves - 05-22-2023, 06:33 PM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (2)

It would be great if clock from any of the inputs, real or virtual, could be selected as the source for the internal MRCC clock to follow and pass that along to any / all outputs.  Unless I'm mistaken, currently having a single external clock feed to all downstream devices requires it to be routed to each, and that would eat up many of the routings (evidently there is a maximum, which has been mentioned here).

My DAW, as with most, can't follow clock, only generate it, so that would be one source over the virtual USB ports that might be used often, other ones being hardware sequencers and groove boxes, as well as dedicated devices like ERM and Midronome, or even the Kenton Pro CV to MIDI Converter.

  How to contact support
Posted by: freekmurze - 05-16-2023, 07:22 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hi,

I recently bought a NDLR with the secret sale.

Unfortunately the device I received does seem to have a hardware problem: knob 4 isn't working. Here's a little movie I made about the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cp4puse0sj6esl7/ndlr.MOV?dl=1

I contact support about this, but did not get an answer. I don't suspect any foul play, maybe my mail would up in spam somehow?

If you're one of the people at Conductive labs reading this, could you please reach out and tell me what to do? Easiest solution would be to ship an other functioning unit to me, but I'd also take a refund if a new unit is not an option.

  Dotted 1/8th note clock send?
Posted by: DudeIsADog - 05-07-2023, 02:20 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hey all, I'm getting spun up on the MRCC. Quite a fascinating piece of kit, very nice. To my question....

I have an Erica Synths Zen Delay pedal, and it supports MIDI sync, but it doesn't have dotted 1/8th sync, only 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, x2, x3, x4...

It looks like in the manual of the MRCC, in the arpeggiator section, that the clock can have a time multiple assigned, but that it is similarly limited to the same values as those on the Zen Delay...unless I'm misunderstanding?

Is there any way to send dotted 1/8th clock? (which I believe would be 3/4 of the quarter-note beat..., i.e., 3/4 * 1/4 = 3/16 = dotted 1/8th)

If so, I could get the Zen Delay to do dotted 1/8th...where the streets have no name, hahahaa

  CV Expander?

Has there been any thought of creating an expander that handles CV input/output?

  Running status for DIN
Posted by: dlundqvist - 04-29-2023, 08:15 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (13)

Hi,

Didn't see anything in the User Manual about running status, but if it's clarified in some other place please link to it. I assume that running status on DIN input won't be a problem, but will it create running status on DIN output?
