  two computers at once
Posted by: Keykent - 03-22-2024, 03:29 PM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - No Replies

Is this possible?
I have 1 computer for my DAW connected to the pc port of the mrcc and I have a separate laptop running soft synths.  I have an osmose
with a usb midi port that I want to send midi data to both the DAW (on the PC port) and to the soft synth on the laptop.   I am using mpe
so do not want to use Dins for this.   Connecting a usb port from the laptop to a usb port on the mrcc, the mrcc does not recognize it.
Anyway to make this work?

  Accent MOD feature
Posted by: User - 03-16-2024, 04:32 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (2)

Hi,
Some synths like TD-3, T-8 (303 alternatives) have midi controlled "accent". If you press a key between, for example, velocity 1-100, the sound will play normally, but if the velocity is in the range 101-127, an additional effect will be added to the sound. Accent can be turned on/off in the synthesizer. So you can have a nice accent based not only on velovity, but also on an additional sound parameter.
It would be great to have a similar option via MRCC as a new MOD Smile

The mod could look like this:
INPUT CHANNEL: #1
Velocity range for normal sound: 1-100
Velocity accent range: 101-127
Accent CC #15 (for example distortion, sent to synth)
CC Accent Range: 30-70 (will set the distortion in the range of 30-70 when the velocity is in the range of 101-127)
Accent level: 0-100 (at 0 the accent will be turned off, at 100 it will be the full CC accent range 30-70)
Accent CC number coming through midi (CH as CH input) and CC: 50
With this mod you can add an accent to any synthesizer, with any parameter.

... and it is here as a MOD proposal, but it seems that some of the functionality can also be made MOD, for CC modificator, however accent level can't be set.

  Routing fragments.
Posted by: Stratblue - 03-11-2024, 10:04 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (2)

I'd like to be able to store certain fragments of a patch as favourites. A fragment might be say just the connection of the Linnstrument to the MPC with a channel change and some transposition. That way a new patch on the MRCC could be assembled by pulling in various fragments instead of dialling in everything from scratch. Maybe to achieve this the fragments could be stored in certain patch memory locations and there could be a 'merge patches' option and if there are any mutually incompatible merge clashes a choice could be offered of 'high patch number overwrites low' or vice versa.

  NDLR Installation 19 Inch Rack
Posted by: helmutpeilert - 03-11-2024, 09:47 AM - Forum: Advanced Features - Replies (1)

Hello dear music friends,

has anyone found a way to install the NDLR (or two next to each other) in a 19-inch rack?

Many greetings Helmut

Block Pattern Editor external midi in
Posted by: pomfritz - 03-11-2024, 01:42 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (4)

Hello, I'm new to NDLR and after a few days of playing with it (V2), it meets my expectations. But, I didn't find a way to block external midi notes from modifying pattern while in Pattern Editor. I found a 2 years old thread reporting it. Has it been fixed? Motifs are one of the main features of the device and this seriously affects the workflow when the NDLR is driven by an external sequencer device.

Question Reset chord sequencer?
Posted by: wildwildmike - 03-03-2024, 05:39 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

Is there a way to reset the chord sequencer to reliably start at the start of a section? I would find this helpful while editing.

  freeze on startup with midronome
Posted by: qazbox - 02-20-2024, 04:06 PM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

having issues with the mrcc and the midronome. if i have the midronome plugged in via usb (receiving power from mrcc), when i start the mrcc it hangs on startup. it works fine via din cables, but then the problem is that the midronome only has midi in via usb.

edit: it seems to only be an issue when both my midronome and befaco cvthing are plugged in at the same time.

  faulty encoder

Hi All,
The range/spread encoder on my v.1 doesn't change values when I spin it (but click works). I've tried a factory reset
but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

MRCC with Ableton Live and Launchpad pro Mk3
Posted by: AL1_1956 - 02-17-2024, 06:02 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hello to all.

The Launchpad pro Mk3 is able to drive Ableton Live in session mode.

If I connect the LPMK3 to one of the USB ports of the MRCC and the MRCC to my PC , I Can see the MRCC in
the liste of devices in Ableton Live but I cannot use the session mode of the LPMK3

Is there something I am missing or is it impossible to make this working??

Thanks

Alain

Not asking for the moon but...
Posted by: Tugdual - 02-16-2024, 08:52 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (1)

there are a few basic features that are really missing in my opinion:
- quantize on complete pattern or (n) full beats instead of 1/4 or 1/8. I'm often busy doing other things so I need to be able to arm the change with a bit less accuracy.
- adjust the length of notes. With the current legato system I only use the AD part of all ADSR envelops of mono instruments.
- have the possibility to link 2 different notes instead of just extending the current note. This would allow for nice glissando on most machines.
- ah and how about a little shuffle?

I think most sequencers have the features I just mentioned; the NDLR is very interesting but would really benefit from these little things.
