Bug Too tight midi connectors issue
Posted by: jrayon - 02-14-2020, 08:57 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

Hi,

My NDLR unity has the midi connectors pretty tight. I got by second time a midi cable broken because of this (see picture attached). First time I thought could be an issue in the connector, but a second time it's quite unlikely, considering it's the only device in my studio that had this issue in years.

Anyone else? anything I can do to solve it?

thanks,
Javier

  button not working
Posted by: rob-ant - 02-13-2020, 11:10 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hello. The centre top black 'triad' button on my NDLR has begun working only intermittently, taking several attempts to change note. Been getting worse past 2 days and now happens more often than not. Any suggestions welcome?

Thanks

Rob

  Possibility to override chord sequencer
Posted by: Fruitnut - 02-12-2020, 06:27 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (2)

I would like the possibility to override the chord sequencers key, so that I could keep the chord sequence and transpose it to another scale live.

Visual update on scale display when using the chord sequencer
Posted by: Fruitnut - 02-12-2020, 06:25 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (1)

When I use the chord sequencer the visual piano scale don't update on the display when the scale is changing in the sequence, making it harder to improvise over the chords.

Only 4 synths on the NDLR
Posted by: winke082 - 02-09-2020, 05:15 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

Hi,

The NDLR is a great device, but I only can manage 4 synths on this great arpeggio sequencer.
How do I sync more synths with the NDLR.
Thanks for the answers.
Regards,
Ronald

Video NDLR with 1 synth ?
Posted by: Jice01 - 02-05-2020, 09:40 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

Hi there,

just joined the community and I'm probably very noob compared to most  Smile.
I have only 1 synth at home -> Roland JD-XA. Lots of fun there but I wonder if the NDLR would be any use of it's connected to this one synth only ?
would I be able to do pad, drone etc just from the Roland ?

Thx for your advice

JC

NDLR Distorted recording of soft synth in Ableton
Posted by: Jadelane - 02-04-2020, 09:53 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

Hi Guys,

Received my NDLR this morning and managed to spend a few hours with it. Before I set it up with my hardware synths I thought I’d test it with some soft synths within Ableton.

Got it working and triggering some lovely droney ambient & chord changes with Waldorf Nave. After recording a 15 min jam via ‘Resampling’ as I usually do, upon listening back to the recording it has loads of noise like a really low gain stage but was fine while recording and the noise wasn’t there, is this in fact midi information and I’ve not set up The NDLR correctly. Does anyone have a softsynth VST set-up guide within LIVE’s environment?

Thanks in advance.

Menu 4 Rhythm Editor for gate length
Posted by: Stalker - 02-03-2020, 09:56 PM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (8)

Just received my NDLR and its a very well thought out machine.

For me the main thing missing is being able to change the note lengths with the Rhythm Editor to make the notes have different gate lengths.
This is the main thing missing that would make it able to have a lot of funky variation.  I really feel that this is an essential feature in any advanced arpeggiator and was surprised to find out it only does Legato.

My understanding from the brief scan I have done on the forums is that for some reason implementing a knob for gate length would be hard?

I was wondering is this due to just the layout of the front panel or something else deeper in the coding????

If its just the layout I have a simple and intuitive suggestion.

What I would suggest is having a second page on Shift Menu 4 and have the circles of the rhythm editor exactly the same as before but the lines from the DOT control gate length rather than velocity.  This could be implemented in % or have a deeper setting that quantizes to 1/4 note etc.

I use synths like the new WASP clone etc that have no midi CC and need note length as the ADSR is only ADS and will only output legato or not work.

My apology's if this is old ground as I am new to NDLR.

Thank you.
