  Sending Sysex through NDLR
Posted by: TV123 - 04-11-2020, 12:45 AM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (2)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to connect my mac with the NDLR and my DX7.

My setup looks as follows:
Mac (running Patch Base) -> NDLR via USB -> DX7 midi in via NDLR MIDI out.
So basically, the NDLR cannot send the Sysex info to the DX7.
Does anyone of you have a suggestion on how I can use Patch Bay and NDLR at the same time?  Huh

Thanks!

Toon

  Apologies

Hi there

This may be a dumb question but trying to follow the ideas in a 'Secrets of Dance Music Production' book and on page 148 it suggests a common progression example is I IV V vi I. Note the minor  Thanks

  Controlling with Pyramid
Posted by: Soundimizer - 03-24-2020, 01:07 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (5)

Hi,
I tried to control the entire NDLR with Pyramid by Squarp. The problem is that NDLR doesn’t respond well when lots of CCs are coming in simultaneously. Some of messages are skipped in an unpredictable way. It is very frustrating...
What’s your experience in controlling NDLR with external MIDI devices?
Best regards,
GABI

  Adjust Screen Brightness
Posted by: intronaut - 03-21-2020, 04:46 PM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (1)

I for one would really like to have the ability to adjust screen brightness in the same way as one can on the Korg Minilogue XD (which has a similar type of modern LCD display). This would make a huge difference for people like myself with light sensitivity issues. It would provide a much more comfortable and much less eye-straining experience. Especially with all menu-diving required to get the most out of the NDLR. I hope this is possible. Thanks!

Problem with midi clock sync with Model:Samples
Posted by: AlienableTone - 03-17-2020, 01:05 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (3)

Hi everyone

First post! Smile Super happy to join the community!

I just finally got the time to play with my NDLR and noticed something weird. I'm running the NDLR as master and sending clock with MIDI OUT A to my Elektron Model Samples just to receive start/stop messages. (all my hardware is also connected via Midi Out A so I know the port works fine).

The start/stop messages are being sent and received, but the tempo on the Model Samples is WAY off... Like quite a few BPMs off Sad Everything works fine, I checked all the settings on the NDLR and the Model Samples and can't figure this one out... The patterns I have on the NDLR are straight forward 16 steps, nothing crazy and nothing to do with different time signatures or pattern lengths messing up with how it all sounds together. It's just not working and that makes me sad.

Am I doing something wrong?

Video NDLR Control setting
Posted by: endreola - 03-12-2020, 11:19 PM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (17)

Greetings,

Is there a way to select a subset range of keys that will change NDLR note instead of all keys, (e.g. c2-c3)?  That way I can use left hand to play along and change NDLR note, while using other hand to play something totallly different that does not influence NDLR note change.

Cheers

  Taking the Cure
Posted by: Tim Wilson - 03-09-2020, 12:34 PM - Forum: Show me what you got! - Replies (2)

I've posted a new track on SoundCloud, another all Ndlr one take tune.

https://soundcloud.com/broken-gadget/taking-the-cure

Access Virus on drone
Alesis Fusion on guitar harmonics
Novation Bass Station on percussive riff.

Sounds like Vini Reilly eloping with Kluster. Wink

Thanks for the nice comments on the previous tracks!

Connecting NDLR to 4 hardware synths
Posted by: superisk - 03-06-2020, 03:35 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (3)

Hi all,

Sorry for a noob question, but i've been using my NDLR for a few months now and i love it. I have MIDI OUT A going to a Hardware Synth, MIDI OUT B going to another hardware synth and then the remaining 2 sections going over USB MIDI to soft synths. How would I connect NDLR to 4 hardware synths at the same time so i can have a different hardware synth playing Drone, Pad, Motif1 & Motif2 at the same time?!

Thanks!

  Exotic/custom scales?

Could we get some exotic scales or a way to add custom scales? I'd like some Kojin Koshi, Hirajoshi, etc. flavors to choose from Smile

  MIDI splitter
Posted by: iamonlyjess - 03-02-2020, 12:00 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (2)

Hi!

I've read that the NDLR can be used as a MIDI splitter. That is, signal sent into A, comes out of both A + B. Is this true? Not talking about start/stop messages, complete MIDI THRU. I can't figure out how to make this happen. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Sorry for the general question but I'm going bonkers trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
~jess~
