Yet another reason for MRCC.
God, that thing does look fun, doesn't it. I just installed the new 3rd party firmware Pajen released for the Volca Sample, which adds chromatic playback and polychaining. I have been having a blast exploring that with the NDLR for the last few days.

After a few mins into the program I had to flip away, the 7 segment display was an immediate show-stopper. Maybe if was the 70’s then that would be a different story.

I can see that being a bit polarizing. It would be fun to see one with those flip down digits from early alarm clock radios.
