Transpose stops working after exactly 15 notes
Posted by: pdusen - 01-12-2025, 11:22 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (3)

I have a newish MRCC updated to the current firmware. I'm using it to connect some MIDI organ pedals to an MPC One+ for sample triggering.

I have the pedal output connected to the MRCC'S input 1, and the MPC connected to Output 10. I am routing from input 1 to output 10, and the only modifier is Transpose #1.

I have observed that the first 15 notes I press on the pedal always transpose correctly, but the 16th note, and every note thereafter, always reverts to the original note output by the pedal. It doesn't seem to matter which notes I press; I can play the same note or multiple different notes, but Transpose always stops working after 15 notes. I haven't seen this behavior in the midi pedal itself when connected straight to the MPC; it outputs the same note consistently.

MRCC with StreamDeck Midi plugin - reltated to Midi Port Naming
Posted by: MR.E - 01-06-2025, 03:29 AM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - Replies (1)

Hi Darryl,

MRCC + remote7 + 4x  xpandr
Stream deck+ and stream deck xl
Macbook M1 2020. ventura 13.7.1

recently i added a streamdeck + (with the encoders) and tried to programm Midi cc across multiple mrcc PC-ports
apparently the stream deck midi plugin is confused because all mrcc ports are named "mrcc" without any numbering

- streamdeck displays that i selected the second or third mrcc port in the list (see screenshot) but outputs midi only on first port, no matter the setting
- streamdeck works fine as soon as i use ports where the ports are named differently. (ipmidi for instance)

i read that was an issue before, i tried 1.1.075 and 1.1.077 which still appear without any portnumbering

can this be set somewhere (hacking a config file or the like) or can you pls revert back to mrcc-1...mrcc-x numbering

thank you
mario

MRCC Request - Note Map - Reverse keys
Posted by: RadekPilich - 01-04-2025, 03:46 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - No Replies

What Espen did might not give the same results as sending reverse note numbers for keys, but the creativity aspect is the same.

Should reverse the note numbers and have one additional "offset" parameter to shift the most rightside note from which the 1, 2, 3 renumbering of notes would happen.

  MRCC and Ableton Live 12
Posted by: crx091081gb - 01-02-2025, 05:36 AM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - Replies (3)

When I set up Midi tracks input or output to use the MRCC everything works till I save my set then come to open up again. The MIDI input/output selector text appears grey and I have to reselect the MRCC port and channel. This doesn't happen in Live 11 but also doesn't happen in Live 12 with my other MIDI devices, only the MRCC. So I can't tell if it's a Live 12 bug (of which there are many) or an MRCC bug but I'm here to ask if anyone else has the same problem and if they've found a solution. I'm on Windows, MRCC firmware 1.1.077.

Video NDLR Explorations
Posted by: ManicModular - 01-01-2025, 07:36 PM - Forum: Show me what you got! - Replies (2)

Hi folks,

New user to the forum but been using my Rev 1 NDLR (from the old kickstarter days) in my Eurorack setup for quite a while now so thought I'd share a few compositions. Plenty of tracks on my channel using the NDLR ranging from plucky arps to long ambient pad type tracks.
Happy New Year and keep on patching Smile

  Mono vs Poly realization
Posted by: Tugdual - 12-31-2024, 03:57 AM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

I’ve been requesting a gate duration feature for some time, as the NDLR essentially plays in legato mode. I'm thrilled to hear it's on the way with the next firmware update—excellent news!

That said, while watching a demo, I realized that many people are using polyphonic synths for their motif lines. Suddenly, it made sense why this feature, which is essential for me, had never been added: I primarily use monophonic synths!

With 2025 just around the corner—and the highly anticipated firmware update soon to arrive—I want to wish a very happy New Year to the NDLR community as we begin week 1 of 2025!

  Remap MRCC buttons shortcuts
Posted by: RadekPilich - 12-30-2024, 04:37 PM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - No Replies

There is a couple of buttons shortcuts mapped to some of the MRCC functions (arp, panic, light show).

What would be helpful if there was additional settings screen, where the current functions (and some additional such as clock, BPM, S/S/C, save active preset etc.) were custom mappable to the available handful of physical shortcuts.

I personally don't care that much about the current shortcuts and would immediately remap them to the additional functions mentioned earlier, for example

- ENCODER press (or ENTER) - transport start / stop cycling
- SHIFT + ENCODER press (or ENTER) - transport continue
- SHIFT (or ENTER) + ENCODER turn - BPM
- SHIFT (or ENTER) + ENCODER press - clock on / off cycling

  MRCC/Electra 1
Posted by: Stratblue - 12-29-2024, 09:45 AM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (2)

Hi there.

The Electra One has two channels in and 2 channels out via one USB cable. However when looking at the MRCC USB connections they have 4 outs and only 1 in so this mean that unless I'm missing something, I can't connect the E1 to the MRCC and get the same functionality compared to having the E1 connected to the computer. Unless I'm missing something that is...Would this be a useful feature to implement?

Thanks.

  Port 6 TRS not functioning
Posted by: DigitalAnalogDaily - 12-26-2024, 12:35 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

After extensive testing with multiple cables and devices, it has been discovered that the port 6 TRS A/B on my MRCC is bad. There is no signal being received, no indication in the display, nothing. I have reported this via the support form but wanted to bring it here hoping that I may be doing something wrong.

I thought I was going crazy trying to get things working, but it turns out that signals are not being received. I am curious(I did read the manual) about how one would go about routing when there are 2 ports for the TRS jacks. There isn't anything in the manual for running both ports at the same time.

Have others experienced this?

Joshua

  Behringer Solina
Posted by: House de Kris - 12-25-2024, 06:03 PM - Forum: Synths and Gear News, Discussion - Replies (1)

Years ago I sold off more than half my gear and said never more. I was good, until I bought a NDLR and then the proverbial floodgates opened and I was on the buy more gear merry-go-round. That is just an intro to justify my buying myself a Behringer Solina for Christmas, had it delivered on the 24th. I've wanted a Solina since they announced it an eternity ago. After three years of waiting, I figured it must be a hoax. Eventually, they did trickle into the market, and now they are super easy to get.

I wanted a Solina specifically to do Pad detail with the NDLR. And, sure enough, it does excel at what it is intended for. Satisfying throwback Solina sound. The range of notes it responds to is rather limited and the NDLR easily generates notes beyond its capability. Because it is just a one trick pony, albeit with modest variations, I won't be using it all the time. Probably not all by itself much either. It will probably layer nicely with other pad synth sounds that will sound when Solina gives up.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it here since it works so well with NDLR Pads.
