  MRCC bricked after FW update
Posted by: Raphie - 12-03-2022, 06:04 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

After trying the latest FW my MRCC bricked when sending the file via Teensy.
no screen, no leds, Windows gives an error message it no longer detects the device.
Tunring it off and of gives an error Chime and message in windows, but no joy.
How can I reset the unit? I need to work.
Teensy does still react to the button on the side then sending the FW, but the units remains dead.

It’s all good, tried to load a NDLR FW, which as residing in same dir. So i put bootloader to receiivng, but it never got what it was waiting for, loading the right FW worked.

  Faulty DIN socket?
Posted by: Stratblue - 12-01-2022, 10:33 AM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (1)

Hi.

I have a midi lead plugged into port IN 2 and I see nothing happening in the display, if I move it to port IN 4 I see incoming midi. I've created a fresh save on A13 from the Factory save for this and have restarted numerous times so I'm presuming there are no filters or anything. Have I missed something here?

Thanks

  USB Keyboard not working
Posted by: dontgodcj - 11-28-2022, 07:37 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (6)

Hello. I purchased a cheap USB keyboard just to edit labels because I can't remember my routing schemes. However, it doesn't work. It's brand new. I test on my Macbook and it worked without setup even though it's a PC keyboard. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WJ5D3H4?ref...tails&th=1

When I plug it in the MRCC lights up green at the port, but turning on caps lock doesn't light up the caps lock on the top right of the keyboard. So it's seems it's not even powering it on or recognizing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Drone Note Sustain
Posted by: Losian237 - 11-24-2022, 10:49 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Question on the DRONE - is there a way to set the note sustain?  I am trying to trigger a kick drum with the drone using a Pulsar 23 and it's not recognizing a retrigger no matter what I try.  I've been able to trigger a kick drum VST this way but the Pulsar continues to sustain the note.  Any tips?

  NDLR BPM/CLOCK DRIFT
Posted by: HammerTime - 11-19-2022, 05:07 AM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

I am having problems with my NDLR maintaining BPM with flutuations around the input clock speed,

I have tested DIN in, modular clock in, and now tested MRCC in via USB, all with the same results, The NDLR just dose not maintain a steady BPM.

Every other bit of equipment has tight timing without The NDLR incorporated, when it is plugged in the NDLR's Bpm just drifts up and down, when used on its own as the master clock it is fine.

Just a brief description of my midi path,

Keystep to MRCC in, via USB
NDLR to MRCC in, via USB (clock is filtered on The NDLR out)
MRCC out to OCTOTRACK in, via DIN (sending The NDLR and Keystep notes only)
OCTOTRACK out MRCC in, via DIN
MRCC then splits to all equipment with separate outs DIN only.

this setup runs a tight clock when The NDLR is not plugged in,

I have also run my setup without the MRCC using a MOTU merge/splitter and MIDI solutions splitter doing the same as the MRCC, and I had the same problems with The NDLR not maintain a steady BPM.

PLEASE HELP.

  Using C-P1 with Remote patching?
Posted by: jefarr - 11-17-2022, 11:00 AM - Forum: MRCC Advanced Configuration - Replies (3)

I've got two MRCCs and I'd like to use the C-P1 mod for routing tracks from my sequencer, this works fine for the ports on the same MRCC the sequencer is connected to, but it doesn't seem to work for any remote routings.

ie:
C1 -> 5 with Mod1 set to C-P1 will allow me to use channel 5 on the sequencer to send midi to Port 5 on channel 1
C1 -> r3 with Mod1 set to C-P1 doesn't appear to let anything through to the remote MRCC

Saving doesn't work? (Solved. I'm a dummy and can't read good)
Posted by: jefarr - 11-16-2022, 04:09 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (6)

I've got a pair of these which I bought to improve my routing setup, love the feature set..  but oh boy I think I've run into a big problem.  I've opened the side panel to confirm that the SD card is installed, but saving just doesn't work.

To save, this is what I do:
- Make some changes
- Navigate to tools -> load/save
-> tab stop down to the preset selection, choose User 1 (or A1, tried a few)
-> tab stop to the Save button
-> press Shift+click the encoder

A number of the out port lights will light red, but there is no indicator on the OLED, and the preset name remains red.

.. obviously this is a huge bummer, hoping there is some simple or obvious step I've missed??

  MRCC with Morningstar Editor
Posted by: toddk - 11-12-2022, 05:39 PM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - Replies (4)

I have my Morningstar MC8 plugged into the MRCC via USB. I am able to successfully route MIDI messages from the MC8 to my iPad/PC. However, I am yet to figure out how to use the Morningstar Editor setup this way. If I connect the MC8 to my iPad/PC directly it works just fine. Since Morningstar Editor uses MIDI to interface with the MC8 itself, I would imagine I could get this to work, but I must be missing something.

Show a message when the max number of routings is reached
Posted by: DevNull - 11-11-2022, 10:34 PM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (1)

I just spent an hour trying to figure out why I wasn't able to map any routings from the PC outputs to DIN plugs.  I just happened to hit the max number of routings with no PC MIDI routings enabled, so I thought something was broken.  Rebooted, restarted the MRCC, swapped USB cables, etc.  I didn't even know that there WAS a max number of routings until I happened across another post on this forum (it doesn't appear to be listed in the manual either?)

A simple message popping up on the display screen that says "max number of port routings (50) reached!" would have saved me some troubleshooting time.
