Dimension of Screws for mounting sides
Posted by: mrbrick - 01-27-2019, 07:02 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

Hi,
looking for info on what the dimension of the screws to get for mounting sides on the NDLR. What about the threads(Is there a DIN-number?) and depth of the screw?

Hope someone here knows...

Hi ,
can you implement something like a srceensaver for the OLED ? Something like :

if for 10 sec no input has been done on knobs or encoders reduce the brilliance and after 60 sec turn of the display and maybe have settings for these 2 stages .

Advantage  longer live for the OLED and reducing the burn-in off ghosting.

  Just got mine!

I have to say, I haven't even plugged it in yet, but the casework on my Blue NDLR looks great.  It was worth the wait for this project to come to fruition.  Looking forward to putting it thru it's paces.

Congratulations,

  First piece
Posted by: louisbrochu@ca.inter.net - 01-16-2019, 07:51 AM - Forum: Show me what you got! - Replies (3)

Hi guys, here's my first piece with the NDLR.
I love working with it: plug in my Ipad in AUM, the setup is crazy simple and working beautifully!
So here's the gear I used:
Hardware: behringer model D, Plugiator, Waldorf Streichfett, Microkorg, Alesis SR18, Volca Beat, Volca Bass, Volca FM, Roland TB3
IOS: AUM, Autony, Noise, Axon, Dubfilter, Italizer, Grind, Tornado, Facmax, BeatHawk, Audio Evolution, Mastering

The NDLR plays well with everybody!

Tell me what you guys think of it !
Have a nice day Smile

  Rhythm editor: "mute" step
Posted by: Chab - 01-15-2019, 04:27 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (3)

Hello,

Today we have 3 options for each rhythm step:

Velocity X: Will play the next pattern step at specified velocity (=  pattern step index is increased)
Rest: Will not play to the next pattern step, but also will NOT increase the pattern index (= pattern step index unchanged)
Tie: Like "Rest", but holds the previous note (= pattern step index unchanged)

I miss a "Mute" option that acts like "Rest", but where the pattern index is also increased. Today the only way to "move" to the next step in the pattern is by playing a note.. there's no way to move to the next step in silence.

Code:
Example with a 4 steps pattern: C, D, E, F
Rest behavior in a 4 steps Rythm: [127, 127, rest, 127] => C, D, silence, E, F, C, D, silence, E, F, etc.
Mute behavior in a 4 steps Rythm: [127, 127, mute, 127] => C, D, silence, F, C, D, silence, F, etc.

  Pitch-bend pass through?
Posted by: leave trace - 01-14-2019, 02:21 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (12)

I'm using a Keystep midi out connected to the midi A in on the NDLR, sending note data to a couple synths on the A out.

From what I can tell, it appears that the NDLR is not passing through / transmitting any pitch-bend data to the connected synths. Is this expected? Is there a setting for this that I have missed?

  Encoder sensitivity
Posted by: drGrov - 01-12-2019, 03:41 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (3)

I sometimes find it difficult to make fine adjustments to parameter values via the encoders. I seem to turn them just a little to far, or too fast and skip over the values that I'm trying to select. How about a global sensitivity / acceleration setting for the encoders so we can adjust the overall encoder "feel" to taste?

Control via Midi CC - Issues
Posted by: MKS30 - 01-10-2019, 11:27 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

I would hope the team could do a thorough check of all functions controllable via CC from a DAW.

1/ What is very obvious is the 'flashing' of the display, that does not happen when editing locally.
2/ When driving from CC's often a red 'MTC' will appear which is distracting and probably unnecessary
3/ CC47 DIV is not functioning
4/ CC48 and CC50 trigger bad screen flashes and a yellow 'NO' in the bottom LHS
5/ Events (especially notes) triggered via CC are way slower than when triggered via notes. Example: Bitwig keyboard Vs Bitwig button CC's, both piped through the same signal flow i.e Bitwig>NDLR>Bitwig Instrument
6/ In Bitwig there is only latched buttons on/off available to trigger notes, modes, scales etc via CC. So what happens is when selecting another button, instead of triggering a new event and killing the old one....the CC's are summed.
ex: Press a D,E,F,G,A or B note, press again to release and the C drone is triggered.
ex: Press a 2,3,4,5,6 or 7 Mode, press again to release and the 1 mode is triggered
ex: Press mode 2 + 3 and mode 5? is triggered etc....
i.e additive behaviour when using CC's ....a bit like the old rhythm machines where you could hold down multiple buttons to combine rhythms.

NDLR + MOTO MIDI Time Piece
Posted by: LeVillian - 01-10-2019, 02:58 PM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (2)

Hello all!

I am happily awaiting for my NDLR.  I run all of my MIDI through a MOTU MIDI Time Piece.  I was wondering if any one else is doing the same.  I know it should be simple in setup and execution, but I was looking to see about the experience.

Cheers,

LeVillian
