top right (5) motif encoder doesnt work
Posted by: calvin - 02-24-2021, 05:50 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to get some help. My top motif encoder doesn't seem to work. POSITION/PATT-LEN, pattern editor and LFO CONFIG does not respond. The arrow changes (up/down) when I press the encoder down but turning turning the encoder left to right and right to left have no effect. Am I missing something? Everything else seems to work fine.

  click button not working properly.
Posted by: rob-ant - 02-24-2021, 01:56 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

Hello. One of my 'click' buttons is working intermittently, sometimes taking 5 or 6 pushes before it changes to that chord. Can you tell me what the button is (i'm guessing they're cheap) and how simple it is to replace?

Thanks

Rob

  Switching MOT1/MOT2 resets Motifs
Posted by: racecube - 02-23-2021, 04:43 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

again I have problems with resetting Motifs: Every time I use the Motif swap button inside the Motif edit menu, it kind of resets my Motif.

I have tried with just one step long Motifs in every mode (chromatic/scale/chord) and when I change the value of this step 1 to example 7
and than tap on the Motif swap button it changes the value to 0.
This concerns only step 1 !!! (step 2 and further keep my edits)

  How is channel routing done?
Posted by: cowboy - 02-22-2021, 07:47 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

I see from the videos that the MRCC is optimized for routing from physical (or virtual, in the case of USB) input devices to physical output devices, and it looks fantastic!

One of the things I'd like to do with MRCC is to easily send any sequencer track into one or more synths. My sequencer is outputting track data as separate channels over multiple outputs.

Right now, my setup is roughly:

  • DIN MIDI keyboard controller outputting on MIDI channel 1
  • USB MIDI drum controller outputting on MIDI channel 10
  • Sequencer tracks 1-7 outputting MIDI channels 1-7 on a single DIN MIDI output
  • Sequencer track 8 outputting MIDI channel 16 on a single USB MIDI output
  • 7 DIN MIDI synths each expecting input on a different MIDI channel from 1-7 to match the sequencer
  • 1 USB MIDI device using channel 16
I connect the 2 controllers into the sequencer, and the sequencer outputs to a MIDI thru box that then goes to each synth.

What is the workflow for routing multiple channels from one or more inputs to multiple output devices? I expect to be changing the routing quite frequently, since I actually have more synths than sequencer tracks, and also like to "double" tracks by sending them to multiple synths simultaneously, so it's important that this be as easy as possible!

  C-lync - What is it?
Posted by: Marc Hackenberg - 02-21-2021, 06:20 AM - Forum: MIDI Connectivity - Replies (3)

Hello, I see C-Lync in the boot menu and can't seem to find any documentation of this functionality. It seems to be related to the Drone part. Any ideas?

First Go | NDLR + MODX
Posted by: Dark Manifest - 02-20-2021, 06:47 PM - Forum: Show me what you got! - No Replies

I have within the last 48 hours acquired the NDLR. I paired it up with four acoustic voices from my Yamaha MODX, and I think the result is mostly likable. A cool thing about the MODX is that when you assign a voice (or part) to a patch (or performance), the voice is automatically iterated to the next MIDI channel. Very convenient. The downside is you can't reassign the voices to a different channel if you want! Very Inconvenient. What were you thinking, Yamaha?

Oh well, awesome synth anyway. And, hats off to you guys at Conductive Labs for coming up with the NDLR!

  FH-2 and NDLR eurorack integration?
Posted by: Louvtlo - 02-19-2021, 12:46 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Is anyone using an FH-2 to interface their NDLR with their eurorack?   Ive had an FH-2 for a while but it remains an enigma to me, especially programming the settings and presets with the web config tool.  Would anyone be willing to share a screenshot or two of the web config page for successful mono or poly implementation of their NDLR?  There are so many options/menus/dropdown boxes that I find it difficult to know exactly what I might be controlling or turning on/off. I’m just looking for an example that works so I can learn from and build my own.   Any help would be much appreciated!

Lightbulb More option in Drone chord mode
Posted by: jagstang - 02-17-2021, 04:51 AM - Forum: Feature Requests - Replies (2)

Hi !

Sorry if it as already been submited before.

My situation :
I always end up using the PAD section to drive my duophonic Cat Synth for two notes chords.
So I end up using a motif as PAD (fast arp in a full wet reverb)

My Idea :
I think that Chord Mode in drone is a cool feature but not as cool as it could be.
For me, most of the time, I just wish to be able to use Root and 3rd. But for more droning / ambiant stuff, being able to assign each of the three notes to a Root, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th or Oct will be a deal breaker !

My suggestion :
On the 4th press of Drone (the triangle in Play Mode) the Rotary change the second note (actually the 5th) or the 3rd note (actually the Oct) if the shift Button is in use.

Is something like possible and easy to do ?

Sorry for my English by the way !

Midi Clock issue or just a display-thing?
Posted by: MrBlaschke - 02-16-2021, 11:54 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

Hi all.

I noticed some strange thing in my setup.

Normally i jam inside AUM (iOS auV3 Host) and send the MIDI clock from there to my NDLR - which is configured to receive clock via USB on Input 1 only. This works and is as stable as the host sends - no problem.
Sometimes i use Cubasis 2 on iOS which is not able to send the clock to a specific channel or output (at least i am not aware of it). It just has the option to send MIDI-clock on/off.

If i have the tempo set to 100 and send MIDI-clock to „on“ in Cubasis the NDLR shows a BPM of 400  Confused Which is not exactly my tempo of music  Big Grin But as we have 4 inputs on the NDLR it looks like the 100BPM is multiplied by the amount of inputs.

Even if i have checked multiple times that „USB, Port 1“ is specifically set inside the NDLR configuration to receive clock it is always happening and 100% reproducible.

Is that intended or did anyone else see this happening?

Actually while writing this it reminded me to test if the „output“ from the NDLR actually is at 4x speed...might try that later on...

Thanks for any info in advance.
Kind regards.

@Jesse: Not sure if this is the right place or if it should be placed in the MIDI category - feel free to move it over if you think so.
