  Questions from a new member
Posted by: Timmy - 03-24-2022, 05:32 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hi everyone, just joined. I’m new to MIDI and have been putting off buying this for fear that it won’t connect everything together. I’m using almost all new era Equipment, guitar pedals with midi, hardware, software, and 4 midi controllers.

5 pedals with 5 pin and 1 with usb
5 hardware with 5 pin,  1 with cv,  and a Microfreak
4 controllers: Fader Fox EC4, MP midi controller, Novation 49SL mk3, keysep37
I have also been looking at the iConnectivity mioXL but this seems easier and I can’t remember the downside/complaints about it.
Sorry if this is an inappropriate first post. I haven’t been on a forum in 15 years.
Thanks, Tim

PC getting filtered even when no filters are on
Posted by: matthew - 03-13-2022, 10:30 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (16)

I am running into an odd issue with the Hapax and the MRCC. I am sending Program Changes via the Hapax, and the MRCC registers them (On the routing page I can see that its getting them on the right channel), however it never makes it to the device its sending it to. If I connect the hapax directly to the device the PC's get through just fine, but as soon as I drop the MRCC in the chain, nothing. It really feels like a filtering issue, but I have no filters set, and I am using the factory settings.

Any pointers?

  Behringer RD-6 Midi sync issue
Posted by: blberman - 03-13-2022, 03:21 PM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - No Replies

Hi, I am having trouble getting the RD-6 to sync using Midi DIN cable. I have the following setup:
- Midi clock coming in on midi DIN port 1
- port 1 routed out to ports 1-4
  - out port 1 routed to CV-OCD to modular (no filters): OK
  - out port 2 routed to TR-8S: (output filters enabled so only clock and start/stop are sent): OK
  - out port 3 routed to Cyclone Analogic TT-303: (output filters enabled so only clock and start/stop are sent): OK
  - out port 4 routed to Behringer RD-6: (output filters enabled so only clock and start/stop are sent): DRIFTS AFTER 3-4 BARS

I've also tried disabling the output filters, and I've tried other out ports and I get the same behavior.
One other thing to note, the MRCC freezes when I attempt to connect the RD-6 via USB to the MRCC midi in/out port A.

I verified the RD-6 syncs just fine when I connect it to the thru port on any of the other devices synced to the MRCC listed in the configuration above.

MRCC firmware version: 1.1.035

thanks,
Ben Berman

  LCD Backlight NG
Posted by: gables - 03-12-2022, 01:11 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hi, I'm having some trouble with the lcd screen on my NDLR.  For a while it was dim and would flicker sometimes.  Now it won't turn on at all.  Far as I can tell, the unit turns on and functions fine.  Just can't see anything on the screen!

Is there a way to get it repaired or replaced?

Hardware only, fresh from the bakery! MPC Live sequencing chords on the The NDLR, playing several synths. Heavy influence from 90's electronica/braindance sound.

Hi - Trying to update my NDLR, but the Teensy Loader says the hex file is too big. Am I missing some obvious step? Thanks

Scrub that and apologies - didn't see the advice at the bottom of the page!

  Transmit port labels to host
Posted by: Raphie - 03-09-2022, 06:39 AM - Forum: MRCC Feature Requests - Replies (5)

By default the MRCC identifies itself as USB host as MRCC, “Midi 1 (MRCC)” etc
Though when assigning midi ports to these host ports the MRCC already knows the label.
I.e. I got my “Moog One” connected to midi 1, mapped to USB host “Midi 1 (MRCC)”
It would be great if there is an other than the “none” label assigned, that label is broadcasted to the DAW rather than the default device name
So “Moog One” rather than “Midi 1 (MRCC)”

iConnectivity works this way, it makes DAW connectivity a lot easier.

BUG: Label assignments not logical enumeration
Posted by: Raphie - 03-07-2022, 12:05 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

Today I've discovered an issue with the labels in the MRCC
The assigned label positions seem to move when adding new labels.

i.e. If you create 4 labels: Synth 1, Synth 2, Synth 3, Synth 4
and assign them to midi in 1,2,3,4
Then create a Synth 5, then the assigned label positions move, i.e. midi in 1 is no longer assigned to synth 1, but synth 2
It seems the way it enumerates is absolute sequential and not logical.

The consequence is that when buying or selling gear and because of that creating new labels, you'll need to validate all ports for still having the correct label.
Is this a known bug?
can this be fixed?

Question Remote 7 ports: filter out messages
Posted by: Eamoex - 03-05-2022, 05:48 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (8)

Hi,

we have our Remote 7 plugged in and working great. It's a blast.

However. I'm trying to find the out ports of the Remote 7 in the out port filter screen. I see the 12 hard out ports, the 4 USB ports, the PC ports... and that's it. Can the messages leaving the Remote 7 not be filtered?
