Is FW Support for the NDLR dead?
Posted by: Evictor - 09-02-2022, 04:49 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (8)

Just wondering? It's been quiet and we were promised some amazing features.

I love my NDLR but I know it is capable of so much more. And I know you guys must think the same.

iPad and Mac - 1 or 2 MRCCs?
Posted by: lloydcole - 09-02-2022, 04:29 PM - Forum: MRCC Advanced Configuration - Replies (2)

I have my MRCC currently orchestrating the right side of my studio, which is mostly modular run by hardware sequencers and iPad apps and mostly non-linear.

The left side of my studio is controlled by a Mac running Logic Pro X, which is mostly linear (but not necessarily).

I have the means, I think, to sync the right side to left when i want to make actual songs from sketches, but the midi routing then becomes an issue.

What I want to be able to do is to control all my midi destinations from my Mac/Logic AND/OR my iPad/AUM at the same time.

Is anyone doing this, surely someone?

Happy to buy a second MRCC if it's the solution.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

How to sequence chord type externally?
Posted by: jlaurasonis - 09-01-2022, 10:49 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

I am using an Octatrack to sequence MIDI Chord changes on the NDLR. Is there a way to sequence chord type externally without using the internal chord sequencer?

Support for 4 virtual I/O over USB host port for MRCC
Posted by: dlundqvist - 08-31-2022, 02:24 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

Hi,

I don't know if this have been discussed before. If so I apologize, please link the existing thread.

Are there any plans of supporting 4 virtual I/O over MRCC's host ports? If so, then the MRCC 880 could be used as an extension and support full routing of 4 virtual I/O over it's device port.

More dependable connection to mac audio midi setup?
Posted by: Nelson Baboon - 08-27-2022, 09:38 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (2)

this is driving me crazy at the moment because it adds another level of complexity to the troubleshooting that I inevitably get into with 2 MRCCs, and now also using Kyma sending receiving midi through the computer connection.

But this is the immediate issue. One of the MRCCs will crash, or I will need to reboot it for some other reason (to recognize one of the synths that needs to be turned on FIRST.

Then things stop working. Inevitably (and i guess my brain isn't hard wired yet to look for this automatically, but, you know i don't want to have to look for this every time i have to power cycle the mrcc).

what happens is that the original instance in the audio midi set up is replaced with a new one, and ALL connections in software that I have made to that instance are not invalid. They all need to be replaced.  In addition there is another display issue where they all tend to come up with the same description - in some software you can drill down and then see which is which (if you named them individually in audio midi setup) but otherwise, there are just 2 which have the exact same name, and it's kind of a guessing game.

this is really becoming a problem.

  Connecting Ableton LIVE
Posted by: gaogaogao01 - 08-27-2022, 01:42 AM - Forum: Computer MIDI Connectivity - Replies (3)

Hi Im new to MRCC.
I want to control external midi from my Ableton LIVE.

I have connected a MacBook to USBPC port and the port lamp above is turning blue.
I open the midi setting on LIVE and there are no indication for MRCC.

I also opened the midi/audio setting on Mac. The module image of the MRCC on the midi setting is turned gray.

Any thoughts on this?

  usb compatibility/ modern sounds Pluto
Posted by: Nelson Baboon - 08-22-2022, 06:50 PM - Forum: Hardware MIDI Connectivity - Replies (1)

seems to work great, though i probably won't get to test midi clock until the weekend. It both powers and does midi through usb, so i was a bit nervous about it, but it's working great. This is a fine little synth, in case anyone is interested in it. Though it's hard to get your hands on one right now.

BUG: cannot move a USB device to a different port
Posted by: tutenchamun - 08-13-2022, 01:32 AM - Forum: General Support - Replies (1)

I am using a BOSS rc505-mkII as a general clock source.
Now I wanted to rearrange it from USB port B to USB port A.

... but whatever port I change the rc505 to, the activity monitor would always map the device to port B (as in my very first setup)

This breaks the hardware button routing for this device on MRCC.
... since the rc505 now is physically connected to port A but MRCC still maps/consideres it to be connected to port B.

The recent forum redesign looks nice, but the nitpicky side of me wouldn't mind a little tweak, if it's not too much trouble.  I liked how before, the "Home" link above would open a new tab of the main web site.  Now, it goes to the forum start page, which makes sense, and there is a link below to "Conductive Labs LLC" which does still go to the main page, but stays in the same tab, which makes cross-referencing things slightly less convenient.  It would be nice to have another link at the top to "CL Web Site" or something like that to open in a new tab.  Oh, and I see there you have a couple of new products coming soon...very exciting!
