MIDI I/O
- Outputs = 5x 5-pin DIN; 2 of them also have 3.5mm TRS jacks (type A and type B)
- Outputs support SysEx data, like MRCC outputs 7-12
Routing
- Separate Remote outputs 1-5, routed from the MRCC, or a copy of MRCC outputs 1-5 (MRCC Settings menu 2/4)

Connection
- Single shielded Ethernet cable from the MRCC RJ45 jack
- Cable lengths up to 50 ft. The link is not actively repeated, so the Ethernet cable counts toward the 50 ft MIDI spec maximum: with a 50 ft cable, avoid long MIDI cables on the Remote
- Your own cable must have shielded connectors joined by a drain wire; CAT6A (or better) with metal shrouded connectors usually is
- The RJ45 jacks on the MRCC and Remote 7 are not Ethernet. DO NOT connect them to Ethernet devices
- The 2 TRS jacks are hard wired to 2 of the 5-pin DIN outputs and their signal voltage is lowered; keep TRS cables to 6 ft (1.8 m) or less
Limits
- Only one Remote 7 per MRCC
- Two MRCCs plus a Remote 7 need a custom RJ45 splitter; in that mode the Remote outputs act as thru ports for one MRCC’s outputs 1-5. Ask on the Support page to order one
