About Conductive Labs
Engineering Creativity
Founded in 2017 in Portland, Oregon, Conductive Labs was created by two engineers with a shared passion for electronic music, innovative technology, and thoughtful design.
With decades of experience in electrical engineering, software development, and product design, we set out to create musical instruments that approach familiar challenges in entirely new ways.
A Different Approach to Instrument Design
We believe technology should expand creative possibilities, not dictate how musicians work.
Our approach combines innovative engineering with intuitive interfaces, transforming complex musical concepts into accessible, hands-on experiences.
Rather than following conventional instrument designs, we explore new ways of interacting with sound, rhythm, and musical structure.
Instruments That Inspire Exploration
From The NDLR’s approach to musical sequencing and the MRCC’s flexible MIDI routing to the Terrain Synth’s visual approach to sound creation, each of our instruments reflects a commitment to rethinking how musicians interact with technology.
Our goal isn’t simply to create more features. It’s to develop new creative workflows that encourage experimentation, discovery, and musical expression.
