USB ports not appearing when connected to iconnectivity Mio XL

I'mw working around this right now by using the NDLR"s DIN MIDI out A and B to two of the Mio XL's MIDI inputs and spreading my four parts across those two then using the Mio to route them to where they need to go.

i wish this option would work for me, but i'm all out of DIN-MIDI inputs on the mioxl.

I just became aware of the NDLR yesterday and am very interested in this device. My MIDI interface is a mio10 though, so I'm having second thoughts, as it seems the mio interfaces and NDLR don't get along. I could pick up a different MIDI interface like a MOTU MIDI Express XT, which I've had in the past, but would prefer not to have to switch everything over (and spend the money) if I don't have to. 

Are there any updates on using the NDLR with a mio interface?

Hey Vang,
While there are no updates, you can still easily use the NDLR with the MIO, you would just need to use the Non-USB midi ports to do so, any of the DIN inputs should work, It's only when trying to use it as a USB host that it has issues as far as I'm aware.

Seems like its been awhile since this thread has been updated but I thought I'd add my experience with the USB features on the MioXL.

Polyend Seq: Power works but not recognized. I have heard the same about the Tracker as well so I assume the Polyend USB implementation is not compatible with the XL.

Black Corporation Deckard's Dream - Works sometimes. I have to do a power cycle dance of unplugging cables in order to sometimes get it to recognize the reserved host.

I have tried with other USB midi gear as well and overall I find the USB hosting to be extremely buggy. Sometimes it even forgets my Keystep. I have resorted to not using the USB ports at all because the reliability of being able to start up the XL and just start playing is very low.

I am hoping that a firmware update is in the works.

Been a while, just checking back in on this! Would love to see them made to work. Every other USB device I own is playing happily with the Mio XL.

Apart from the iConnectivity-issues, I can confirm that NDLR is not recognized by Cirklon either when connected through USB. It says that the device is not class compliant. All other class-compliant devices I own are working fine. Colin from Sequentix is aware of the issue and will investigate the issue on his side, but it looks like something is incorrect at the NDLR side. 

I hope this helps for pinpointing and resolving the issue. Thank you for your great work on NDLR so far!
