@oldgearguy: Did you have a chance to check it?
BTW: When I wrote "which confuses Mac OS" I didn't mean that this is an OS X issue. I have several other devices with USB B port, like Push 2, which don't show this issue: unplugging/replugging on either side: no problem – with the same cables or adapters.
