I have a MRCC 880 bought new from Control Voltage some time ago. I used it a little bit and got frustrated with the fact that any slight movement of the USB cable and it would restart (along with the settings and also those in software because of the disconnection). Literally, the slightest movement and the power shuts off and usually restarts (though sometimes it doesn't though and needs the cable to be adjusted or tapped into a better place).
This device has been used for maybe a total of 15 minutes.
I switched up my studio (a bit because of this issue) and didn't immediately need it for a while and forgot about it, and now I need it again and it's doing the same thing.
What I've done to test:
I've tested this with a half dozen USB cables, same results with all of them.
I've tested USB cables in my cable tester, they all work, even when wiggling them.
I've picked up and moved around other devices connected by the same USB cables and none of them loose power or connection when being moved (both very carefully, and not so).
Did anyone else experience this? Is there a fix?
Here's a video demonstrating how finicky the USB port is as you can see this is unusable as is.
