Arp goes crazy with Novation Launchkey
#1
Hey! I'm trying to use an arp with Novation Launchkey mini, and it goes crazy: notes get stuck and play forever.
I guess it could be happening because Launchkey doesn't send Note-Offs, but rather sends Note-Ons with zero velocity.
I'm using MRCC_v1.1.075_08-23-2023.hex firmware.

Hello, I've just taken a look at the MIDI Note On/Off events from the Novation LaunchKey Mini v3 and it appears to send Note Off events. I didn't trust MIDI OX to "interpret" the 0 velocity as Note Off, but I think the MRCC MIDI monitor is accurate. Maybe the Lauchkey Fixed Chord feature is on?

Which version of Launchkey do you have?
What is your sound module playing the Arp?

Oh wait, I tried it and had issues too, but I know the secret ?Unroute the input to the output with arp. Otherwise the synth and arp both get the MIDI messages from the keyboard and it messes things up.

Launchkey Mini MK3

I'm sending midi to Hydrasynth and Prophet rev2 via Midi Solution quatro.

It's off.

I setup the routing like this:
Launchkey is connected to A1
Arp is using Int clock, Src port is A1, chan 13, Dst port is 2, Chan 13. Hydrasynth is listening on 13 channel.
Nothing else is connected.

If I activate the arp, it seems that arp is latching all the notes that have been pressed at least once. Latching on the arp is disabled.

If I do that nothing is coming through, unless I misunderstood you.

Here's what midi monitor is showing when I press a note:
Code:
0 2-13 On d:60.36
1 2-13 On d:60.0

If I disable Local control on the Hydrasynth, connect it's as an arp source, and send it back - arp works as expected, sorta.

There's some delay between I press a note and when the note is actually played, which it seems depends on the Div.
For example, if I set Div to 1:1, then the note will be send only on the next beat it seems.
