MRCC with Aura plugins Virus TI2 editor

Hey! I can't seem to set up Aura plugins 1st editor for virus ti2 when midi goes via MRCC. 
In the standalone editor all MRCC ports are just called MRCC without any number, maybe this could be a problem.
In the vst editor it seems to completely ignore the MRCC port input and always gives an error, this does not happen if I connect via a non MRCC port.
Has anyone had issues using vst editors for hardware synths with MRCC?

Unfortunately, I personally cannot elaborate further, I haven't gone through the process myself yet.
