Yes - there must be some subtle differences between Hermod and Pyramid. In Pyramid I set the MIDI configuration globally in Settings, as opposed to per project.

Anyhow - for the time being I have identified a seemingly robust workaround that gives me what I want, without that much additional effort.

Understandably this is not likely to be on the roadmap to fix anytime soon (ever) - but I remain an optimist
