Resetting to factory default before Or after

Hi, I’m going to update new firmware from my old v1.1.064. 
Wondering to do resetting the NDLR before the update or after?

Hello, I think its best to do it after, so that the new firmware is setting up the default patterns with the correct data.

Also, you can try updating and see what happens when you play your saved patterns before resettings. I think what will happen is, when you change the Motif position it won't play in some lower octaves.
