NDLR v2.0 Red Base encoder issue - SaltySage - 11-04-2023

Just received my NDLR v2 with the red base which I updated to the v2.0.014 firmware . The encoders “click to value” is inconsistent sometimes it takes 1 click to change the value sometimes 2 or 3.  It looks like in some older posts this was also a issue .  Is mine defective or Is this just the way it is ?

Each parameter is scaled for the number of values so the knob doesn't change the parameter either too fast or too slow. The detents are ignored. The same code works with the NDLRs without detented encoders and the ones with those encoders.

We only switched to detented encoders to prevent accidental turning of the knob, which was a common complaint with the smooth turning encoders. Ideally we'd have higher torque smooth turning encoders, but we haven't found where to get them. The BPM encoder on the Beat Step Pro is an example of a higher torque encoder. Anyone know who makes those?
