using one synth for 2 sounds - ggiavelli - 06-14-2021 I'm sure this has been asked somewhere but as I have not so much gear (a blofeld, a kawai mp7) for now I was wondering if its possible to set up on the same channel two different programs (sounds) - e.g. blofeld doing a pad and lead sound. thkx! RE: using one synth for 2 sounds - Darryl - 06-14-2021 Oh yes, the Blofeld is multi-timbral so you can have a different sound on each channel. They call it "multimode". The Blofeld is old, and the processor is not so powerful, so there are some trade-offs. It will steal voices depending on how much processing is required for the selected patches. Still, it is quite capable of some mutli-timbral action with The NDLR. Here is a good tutorial on how to program the Blofeld for "Multimode". https://youtu.be/dylOTZAaGuA Once you get that ready, you should also explore The NDLR "Interleaved poly-chaining". You can have The NDLR play the PAD part to 4 MIDI channels. Its really great when modulating the PAD position with the mod matrix. |
