You may want to reach out to them as well. FWIW, the latest (Version: 2.1.0) firmware for mioXL/XM - https://cdn.iconnectivity.com/firmware/notes/mioXM_notes.txt states: Date: 2023-08-21 1. Added support for hosting Roland devices (MIDI only, not audio) that are not using class compliant USB MIDI descriptors. ---8<--- After this upgrade, the NDLR appeared (as four separate USB devices/ports) in my mio, from which it was being powered, but connected by DIN. Still DIN-connected, and USB not yet tested, but might be a ray of hope if it actually works. I don't know whether the latest NDLR patch (v1.1.086 for me) changes anything for folks who have non-mio iConnectivity devices, like the MIDI4+ mentioned by the OP in this thread. There's another thread on this in the MIDI connectivity subforum, so I'll crosspost there too. HTH, auto RE: NDLR USB not recognized by iConnectivity MIDI4+ host - autopoiesis - 11-18-2023 Yup, with NDLR 1.1.079 + mioXL with 2.1.0, all four NDLR USB ports lighting up in MIDI-OX, via RTP-MIDI (I don't use USB for MIDI). All looks good. Same after applying the NDLR 1.1.086 patch. Crossposting as previously; seems like this is a fix (and I've gained a precious MIDI in, too). ![]() Cheers, [happier] auto RE: NDLR USB not recognized by iConnectivity MIDI4+ host - Darryl - 11-28-2023 Great news! We didn't change anything with The NDLR USB client, so technically it shouldn't matter which NDLR FW it is, but having a recent version is good for other things. The iConnectAudio4+ does not recognise the NDLR Host Port and firmware was last updated in 2018, users report the MioXL issue is resolved.since v2.1 I'll write and request a fix, but need to present some clues. in the MioXL release notes: v2.1 : 'Fixed a problem with USB host driver that was preventing some devices from enumerating' (I'm using a Mac, so not sure if this is relevant?) v2.2.3: 'Added support for hosting USB-MIDI devices with a product ID of 0x0000' Regarding 'product ID of 0x0000' does that relate to the NDLR serial number, mine reports as 000 0000 0000 ? Thanks RE: NDLR USB not recognized by iConnectivity MIDI4+ host - Jesse Johannesen - 07-10-2025 I think Product ID and Serial Number are separate things in this case. I believe Product ID is a number that (along with a vendor ID) uniquely identifies the USB device so the computer knows what it is when it plugs it in. I don't remember what numbers the NDLR is set to, but I am pretty sure it's not 0x0000. I think the 2.1 update is probably the one that addressed the issue. Jesse |
