RE: MRCC Firmware Update 1.1.075 - Jesse Johannesen - 06-01-2024

I think we're at a point with the MRCC that there won't be an enormous number of feature changes, but there will be more bug fixes. One of our devs that played a big part in getting this project off the ground is back in house and currently looking at getting the max number of routings limitation fixed. We'll see what he finds out soon, but there may be an opportunity to address some things.

I may start a thread to discuss what users are currently most keen to have addressed in the next couple of days and I can link to it here. To be clear I can't promise any miracles but I would just like an up to date list of requests to present when we get to that point.

Thank you and I appreciate your honest reply! I keep my fingers crossed for further development.

RE: MRCC Firmware Update 1.1.075 - ekkomouse - 07-28-2024

I have encountered a bug on 1.1.075.

I am running two MRCC's and I have a setup where I have two devices setup through USB A1 on MRCC 1 and USB B1 on MRCC2.

USB A1 on MRCC1 is running to an xpander which is sending midi in/out to a synth. MCRR2 USB B1 is hooked to USB, clock is filtered out of USB B1 input, and notes are coming from MRCC2 to MRCC1.

I am getting a scenario where note ons are being sent but all note offs are not being received on the destination MRCC1. I have forwarded notes to MRCC2 PC1 and am reading them on midi monitor in Mac. When the synth sounds stuck notes, I have counted the note on/offs forwarded from MRCC2 USB B1, and then from MRCC1 USBA1. When the notes travel from one MRCC to another, the note offs are not all delivered. When I move the sending device directly to MRCC1 where the other destination synth is at, the note offs get delivered.

Other notes are MRCC1 and 2 has a lot of routings between them, I suspect this is happening due to cpu/number of routings. When I disable some routings it seems to happen less but still happens even with just one routing.

Clock is sent from MRCC1 to 2 and is filtered out of any input that is connected, I have for sure filtered out clock from all devices except the single sending device. Let me know if I can help on this. again, may notifications from this forum are not getting delivered. So I will send this as email also

Thanks Ekkomouse for the sighting on this, I'll add it to the bug tracker and see if I can reproduce it.

RE: MRCC Firmware Update 1.1.075 - ekkomouse - 12-11-2024

I’m hoping to report that sending regular midi data and one clock one 1 output remote to multiple between two MRCCs results in missed clock pulses on some devices. I wonder if Clock should be sent once and split on the second MRCC Instead of sending say 7 separate clocks.

Hey Ekkomouse,
Will you shoot me an email to support@conductivelabs.com and maybe attach a diagram to help me understand what you have set up when you experience this? I could use a little help as I'm having trouble understanding the above wording for some reason. Include as much detail as possible including which devices and how they're connected and I will see if I can get the same thing to happen here. So far I'm not having any luck.
Jesse

RE: MRCC Firmware Beta 1.1.077 - RadekPilich - 12-30-2024

The new beta is crashing (freezing) MRCC like crazy, like every few minutes with the 50 routings I have there. Not sure how to troubleshoot, I will probably have to redo the profile from the most important to least important routings. It is certainly a result of my routings, because if I load a factory profile and do a handful of routings then it seems stable.

RE: MRCC Firmware Beta 1.1.077 - RadekPilich - 12-31-2024

OK, I have redone / minimized /"de-bugged" my routing yesterday and will try to slowly expand and save iterations as separate profiles. Will report later if I find some specific cause for freezing.

is there a way to export my routing presets and send it to you?
